The Dimitrie Cantemir Publishing (Printing) House Tirgu Mures was established according to a document notified by the Ministry of Culture in 1995.

We created this department as a realistic response to our student’s needs and demands for courses, guides, manuals and other specific books asked by the curricula.

The institution’s ability to assure its students proper books for each subject matter meant a decentralization of the teaching system for the benefit of the competence portfolio quality’s enhancing and the students’ providing with equal chances for performance.

The Dimitrie Cantemir Publishing House’s activity is guided by the specific curricula of each faculty, notified by the Ministry of Education and Research. Besides the modern technical devices up dated to printing requirements at European level, the Publishing House has a professional team of printing specialists lead by PhD Alexandru Bogdan Murgu, printing counsellor certified by the Central Board of the Ministry of Culture. So, the Publishing House has acquired remarkable results both as number and quality of works. More than eight hundred titles and fifteen thousand samples (copies) were printed.

The high academic level of the publishing house (a sine qua non condition for value) is proved by the great demand of volumes coming from well-known universities and colleges in Romania.
The Dimitrie Cantemir Publishing House cooperates with Romanian’s National Library concerning the methodology of granting legal deposit numbers and of ISBN and ISSN, and the value of the volumes which are given such indications is certified by the papers of our highly-regarded teaching staff.
